Cavid Ahmedbeyli graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry (Istanbul) in 2005. He graduated from European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) accredited postgraduate programme in Periodontology and received the EFP certificate of a specialist in Periodontology and Implantology in 2011 from Yeditepe University. He received PhD in Periodontology in 2012 and completed residency in Periodontology in 2013 from the same university. He maintains his private practice limited to Periodontology and Implant Dentistry in Baku. He serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Periodontology at Aziz Aliyev Azerbaijani State Advanced Training Institute for Doctors. His research interests are regenerative and esthetic plastic periodontal surgery, antiseptics, antibiotics, lasers and probiotic therapy in the treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases. He has authored several publications in peer reviewed national and international journals. He is editorial board member of Journal of Advanced Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. He is the co-founder and current president of Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology. He has been actively involved in the activities organized by the Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology and European Federation of Periodontology. He was the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the EstePerio International Congress of Periodontology and Esthetic Dentistry, organized by the Azerbaijan Periodontology Society in Baku in 2013, 2016 and 2018. He was the Delegate of the Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology to the European Federation of Periodontology in 2017-2018. He was 12 may Gum Health Day Azerbaijani national coordinator in 2017. He presented Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology at the EFP General Assembly, where the Society was accepted as the EFP Associate member (2017, Santiago de Compostela) and EuroPerio9 International Conference in Periodontology opening ceremony and flag parade, where the National Society 1st time attended the EuroPerio Conference as the EFP member (2018, Amsterdam). He actively participated in recognition of the Periodontology as the speciality in Azerbaijan by the Cabinet of Ministry of Azerbaijan Republic in 2019. He was Working Group Chair of EFP 2017 classification of periodontal and peri-implant diseases and conditions’’, ‘‘Treatment of Stage I-III Periodontitis-The EFP S3 Level Clinical Practice Guideline’’, EFP Perio&Caries campaign, EFP Perio&Diabetes campaign, EFP Oral Health&Pregnancy campaign, EFP Perio&Cardio campaign translation and dissemination in Azerbaijan. As the 1st Azerbaijani EFP Alumni he was the speaker at the EuroPerio9 International Conference in Periodontology Perio Talks Session with the topic of “Life experience changing national periodontology vision” (2018, Amsterdam) and had the interview “Multidisciplinary or specialist practice?” for Perio Life, EFP Alumni Magazine, 2nd Issue (2021). He presented Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology at the EFP General Assembly, where the Society was accepted as the EFP Full member (2022, Vienna) and EuroPerio10 International Conference in Periodontology opening ceremony and flag parade, where the National Society 1st time attended the EuroPerio Conference as the EFP Full member (2022, Copenhagen). Since 2023, he is the Chair of Organizing Committee and Speaker at the Periodontology Curriculum, continuing annual program on the diagnosis, non-surgical & surgical treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases, organized by the Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology. Since 2023, he is European Federation of Periodontology Executive Committee member and Perio Master Clinic 2026 Baku Confrence Chair.​ He is the member of the Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology (PERIOAZ) and European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). He speaks fluently Azerbaijani, English, Turkish, Russian languages.
